The Neck Outcome Score, or NOOS, was developed to investigate patient self administered subjective scores of their neck related disability.  It can be utilized for short and long time intervals for week to week changes during key interventions such as medications, operations, and physical therapy. It can also be used over timeframes as long as a few years.

The NOOS survey has 34 items divided into 5 subscales (ordered from most questions to least): and “participation in everyday life” (10 items) “every day activity and pain” (8 items),  “mobility” (7 items), “symptoms” (5 items), and “sleep disturbance” (4 items).
